BY THE STEEDS THAT RUN..

Assalamu Alaikum..

Surah Al-`Adiyat (The Chargers) tells us:

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),
And strike sparks of fire,
And push home the charge in the morning,
And raise the dust in clouds the while,
And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-
Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;
And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);
And violent is he in his love of wealth.
Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad
And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest-
That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?

Allah swears by the charging animals in a battle. A horse runs right into the midst of battles. In that, it may face spearheads, arrows and swords. It may face death immediately or get wounded badly and die slowly. But it takes that. It is ready to take his master to where he wishes, stand with him till the end…for a cause that is not of that animal at all. Why?

Because, just because, that animal was fed by its master!! If not for that person, someone else would have fed him..

But still that ‘animal’ puts its commitment back to where it recieved its blessings!!

As a gesture of thanks, it takes the master’s concern as its own and stands by it untill it’s death.

A mere horse is ready to pay back with its own life. And where are we, the Humans??

“Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;
And to that (fact) he bears witness ;”

Allah gave us not just food and shelters. He gave us Everything.. When I type this, it is my Allah who is giving the ‘qudrath’ to fingers. It’s he who makes me alive,sane. He lends his sight so that his slaves may see with it. It’s Allh who makes us hear. It’s he who makes us happy.. To quote the expression of Love ofFriend of Allh,Ibrahim Nabi(Alaihissalam) from Qur’an:

It is he who created me
It is He who guided me
And it is again He who cures me when I fall ill

How high is status of an animal when compared to me..

Allah.. You bless me, forgive me. Without that where’ll I be??

Make me Your Lover. If You do so, it’ll be You yourself and Your Habeeb Rasool (S.A) who will be most pleased.

To make your Habeeb happy, to make my shaykh happy, make me completely Yours..

  1. ASSALAMU-ALAIKUM,
    As u said, allah has given his attributes to us in a way that we can handle, so that we can live our life with the help of him..
    He is continously giving us the ‘qudrath’ to see, hear, speak, move, think, love..and so on..
    ..eventhough we stand against Him.
    how loving is He…

    Thank you muneerka for this excellent piece of message..
    May Allah continue his blessings to all of us for ever…

  2. Va Alaikumussalam Shibily..
    Yea.. The Love of Ibrahim Nabi(A.s) gives us a particular lesson in it.

    May Allah make us all His..

  3. Assalamu alaikum,
    Very happy by seeing the words that u have written and actually we are not merely reading these words, each word makes us think for a while and get something from it. For this only Allah has created us. Once we were not like this. At that time also we have gone through Quran many times but we haven’t got anything from it. It is our Sheikh who only made us like this.
    May Allah make all of us as our Usthad wishes.

  4. Va alaikumussalamm ya habeeb..

    Aamin for your valuable dua.
    We should, as you pointed out, realize how we became like this. Once we were not like this. We couldn’t digest qur’an. There are so many, so many people who read Qur’an and remain unchanged.. But Qur’an DOES change us now.. How?
    To be able to see one needs not just eyes but also sight in that eyes. Not just sight in eyes, but also Light in the world outside.

    None of these are really ours..

    Similar is the case with Qur’an. To understand it, we need qalb, ilm and noor.
    May Allah guard us from attributing our understandings to ‘our own skill’..
